Welcome to the new site!

As we are growing and moving more ane more into the end-game content I thought we had outgrown our current website. With no real DKP or guild progression tracking, this site seemed to fit right in. I hope you all like! Please feel free to make suggestions in our new forums.

Time to get geared
06/07/2007 01:54 PM by Shailom.

With our recent attempts on Gruul there has been allot of talk about doing Karazhan instead of Gruul's Lair. We all know that there is a ton more loot that that we need out of Karazhan before being successful in the 25man raids. I know this and the Officers know this. It has not been our intent on bagging Karazhan raids to replace them with Gruuls. Most of us have allot more work to do in Kara yet. The intent was to start getting everyone ready to do the 25man content. The strategy for the fights, etc. This guild no longer needs 5 days a week to work on Karazhan. Every boss has been cleared except 1 and we did it in 2 days. Eventually it will be 1 day to clear Kara. So what do we do with our spare time? We work on new content. And that means even if we aren't ready, we get ready.

Also, one thing to note. When I pick my teams for Karazhan I ask everyone that is starting if you can be there for subsequent days to finish Kara. One thing I don't want to do is switch up the teams mid-week in Kara. I want the same 10 people there for that week. Then the next we can switch out with the ones that need gear. I know there will always be exceptions to this. But, one thing that I have heard allot of is I don't get a spot in kara. Well, I see those people on Tuesday but don't see them the rest of the week. So I am not going to sacrifice the people that are there every raid day for the casual raider.

Bottom line is you have to show interest in wanting to raid by showing up to every raid you sign up for.

Gruul Dead?
06/07/2007 01:53 PM by Shailom.

We shall see tonight. And obviously to get to Gruul, the High King must already have fallen. After seeing how many people were on that wanted to do Kara the Officers made an excecutive decision to take the guild to Gruul's which we will start to do often. And those that where there were rewarded greatly for there efforts. Grats to all that participated.

Grull dies tonight

Prince Melchezaar, Netherspite all dead!
06/07/2007 01:50 PM by Shailom.

Who would of thought as we set out this week that we would have 3 new boss's down in Karazhan? This week things really started to click for both of our Kara teams.

Sunday both teams started out on Shade, although my team didnt one shot shade like Brawlers team we did get him down after the 3rd attempt. And that for my team was a team first. We finally started playing smart and realized when we dont have enough melee for that fight to just let him polymorph the whole raid at 42%, get healed up then bring on the adds, kill the adds, then destroy shade. And thats what we did, it went like clockwork once we got it down. From there we went on to Chess and then to Prince. Brawlers team wasnt able to continue after Chess.

Since we had mostly ranged DPS for this fight, we really made this look simple. There is a little luck involved with where the Infernos get dropped and on the 4th attempt all the stars were alligned properly for us to take Prince down. It really is one of the simpliest fights in Kara. Just stay at max range and move your group during 3rd phase.

You would think at that point we would be done, it was about 11:30 server time but nah, they wanted more! I know I did! Well, at least to get familier with the Netherspite fight. This was completly new for all of us, I hadnt even been in that room. So we took a few minutes and started reading up on the strat...it still looked confusing. So I read some more. With all of us still confused we decided to go see what it was like, it was still confusing. We wiped about 5 different times trying to setup the rotation of healers, tanks, dps going in and out of the beams. We were still confused and probably fried from being in Kara for over 6 hours. So we called it knowing we would be back the next night on Monday.

It took us about 4 times to figure out the strat that was going to work for us and down he went. Brawlers team downed Prince about 15 minutes before we downed Netherspite. A very successful week for us in Kara. Gratz to all.

I call next on Nightbane!
